About
Originally from Northern California, Joel has been fortunate to share the stages around the country with some of the finest performers and contemporary songwriters in the United States. While he calls Chicago home now, he spent the turn of the 2020s in Austin, Texas where he integrated himself into the songwriting community and wrote over 100 songs with the idea of starting a solo project to make new friends. He is calling this project, tinvìs. A selection of those songs will be released in 2024 as an album called Texnia. More than anything he is passionate about the craft of songwriting. He thinks of songs as houses and he pokes at them until they are sturdy enough to withstand any instrumentational tweak. His influences are are vintage Neal Young and Joni Mitchell, contemporary Bob Dylan, Radiohead and the National. He wants people to leave his shows feeling something.
